How they work
The digital infrared gun thermometers measure thermal radiation, that is, the heat emitted by a body. Thanks to the technology that makes them digital, it’s possible to collect data on the dispersion of a person’s electromagnetic radiation, without the need to touch it.
But this is not the only fact that is taken into consideration by digital infrared gun thermometers. Since each body emits heat differently, thermometers also analyze the reflected radiation and the radiation transmitted to establish the temperature of the individual.
